The European Satellite Navigation Competition awards the best ideas for innovative satellite navigation applications.

It is open to companies, entrepreneurs, research institutes, universities, and individuals. Entry is possible exclusively via the secure online database at www.galileo masters.com


1. Registration

- 2010 Conditions of participation : Download the document

- Create your own profile and choose a username and password. Once you have done this, you will be able to log into the database to continue developing your idea as often as you like before the end of July.
- Select a region: You are free to choose which of the 16 regions you would like to represent.
- Enter whether you would like to submit your idea for consideration for one of the special topic prizes .

2. Ideas database:

The ideas database is divided into three sections. In the first section, you are asked to describe your idea as accurately and as clearly as possible; the second section is about the market potential of your idea; and the last section deals with formal project aspects and with the trademark and patent rights for your idea.

3. Evaluation:

Once the database has been closed, regional panels of experts from all regions and the expert panels of the special topic sponsors will select the regional finalists and the special topic winners. In September, an international panel of experts will meet in France to select the overall winner – the GALILEO Master – from the regional finalists and the special topic winners.

4. Awards Ceremony:

On October 2010, the prizes for the GALILEO Master, the regional finalists and the special topic winners will be awarded and the ideas themselves presented to the public at an official reception at the Munich Residence.
