Crown Relocations: the world at your fingertips
Leading provider of services for international mobility has set up offices in Sophia Antipolis.

Crown Relocations: the world at your fingertips
With its multinational groups and its smaller innovative companies located for the most part in the technology park, the Côte d’Azur attracts a fast moving, multicultural workforce. And that is also why enhancing mobility is a key component for this cosmopolitan community,
Crown Relocations, a division of Hong Kong-based Crown Worldwide Group* decided to tap into this market potential and opened offices in Sophia Antipolis just over a year ago. Heading up the local branch is Kathy L. Scalabre, a Korean-born US citizen, whose international background and fluency in 5 languages make her perfect for the task.

3 questions à Kathy L. Scalabre, International Manager, Crown Relocation

1. Why did Crown Relocation decide to set up offices on the Côte d’Azur?
Our launch here provides a new geostrategic position into southern France, marking the further expansion of Crown in France where there are branches in Paris and Lyon. As leaders in our industry with 200 offices in 50 countries, we already have ties with many international companies established on the Côte d’Azur and so it seemed like a natural decision to be close to these customers with a local office.
2. What type of services do you offer?
When you speak of relocation, people tend to think of helping newcomers settle in. But our role is much wider than that, since we deal with all aspects of mobility and we serve as the local contact for both import and export services. We provide a full-range of Crown's services, including relocations and corporate logistics, records management and fine arts transportation.
3. What are the Côte d’Azur assets that you feel will help you meet your growth target?
The Côte d’Azur is a very popular area not only for foreign investment, but also for the permanent settlement of many families from Northern Europe and increasingly so, from every part of the world. Sophia-Antipolis offers a particularly dynamic environment, and the market of "retiring" families to this region who have moved already with Crown during their former expatriation career, creates many opportunities for Crown Relocations. Monaco is a financial hub very much like Hong Kong, and we see an increasing number of clients choosing the “Rocher” as their final and protected destination.

* The Crown Worldwide Group also includes; Crown Global Mobility Services to assist families in their settlement, Crown Fine Arts for Fine Art Logistics from one museum to another, Crown Records Management for Management/Storage of business information.
